Incoterms for South American Buyers
The Incoterm agreed in a quotation defines exactly where PROIND's responsibility ends and yours begins. Choose it deliberately — it changes the landed cost more than the product price often does.

Terms PROIND can quote
- EXW — Ex Works: The buyer collects the goods at the origin location and handles export, freight, insurance and import.
- FCA — Free Carrier: PROIND delivers the goods to the carrier nominated by the buyer, cleared for export. Freight and import are on the buyer.
- CPT — Carriage Paid To: PROIND pays international freight to the agreed destination. Import duties and taxes remain with the buyer.
- DAP — Delivered At Place: PROIND delivers to the named destination. The buyer pays import duties, taxes and customs clearance.
- DDP — Delivered Duty Paid: PROIND delivers with duties and taxes prepaid. Available only when explicitly stated in the quotation.
Choosing the right term
- You have your own freight forwarder and customs broker → FCA or EXW.
- You want PROIND to handle freight but you clear customs → CPT or DAP.
- You want a single all-in landed price → request DDP.
Default assumption
Import duties, taxes, VAT/IVA, customs brokerage and any local charges in the destination country are the buyer's responsibility, unless the quotation explicitly states DDP (Delivered Duty Paid).
